VEARAK CHEA

Pastor Vearak is a pastor of New Life Fellowship Poipet, Cambodia. He has served as the head Pastor there since Before he moved to Poi Pet with his family, he was living in Phnom Penh and working for another NGO. During that time, God clearly called him to be a pastor. Vearak listened to that call and made the decision to make the long move from Phnom Penh to Poi Pet, along with his wife Leakhena and two children Naomi and Eden. The church he pastors has flourished since 2013, planting four different churches around Poi Pet. Pastor Vearak is amazed and thankful to God, because when they started the Church it was nothing… now it has grown beyond what they could have ever imagined! His church is full of young leaders, all young adults who love God so much! Pastor Vearak believes in training up kids to become leaders in the future. To educate kids, so that they will be able to have good jobs in the future. To keep kids out of trafficking by partnering with organizations (like LightBridge) to provide education through sponsorship or jobs. And to raise up a generation of young adults who will influence the country of Cambodia, the city of Poi Pet, and whatever career they go into. Pastor Vearak believes in not just feeding his sheep with food, but how to live for God and how to draw closer to Jesus. New Life Fellowship and LightBridge International have been partners for almost 10 years. He is so happy to officially be a part of the LBI team, because LBI’s vision and NLF’s vision are so similar. We do all our work for God’s glory and Kingdom. To serve His people through discipleship, aid, and changing a generation for Christ!
