DANTE & KIERA BACA

Kiera - Since she was young, Kiera has felt called to a life of service and sacrifice, and especially within the scope of international missions. Through several short term missions trips with LBI in her late teens, the Lord grew in her a love for Cambodia and its people, and reaffirmed her desire to share the Gospel “to the ends of the earth.” Kiera earned her B.S. in Nursing, and a B.A . in Psychology, from the University of Northern Colorado. Volunteering with immigrants and refugees in Greeley, and nursing patients of varied cultural, spiritual, and socioeconomic backgrounds, has further fueled her dreams to contribute to the empowerment of exploited and at-risk peoples. Kiera currently lives with her husband, Dante, in Arvada, Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys biking, skiing, camping and reading. She is beyond excited to move to Cambodia in 2022, Lord willing, to live and walk alongside the poor and the orphan.

Dante - Since childhood, Dante has been known for his ability to make friends with absolutely anybody. Dante strongly values community, inclusivity, and deep friendships. Dante’s first trip to Cambodia in 2013 changed the course of his life. He returned to Cambodia with LBI several more times as an intern, and eventually felt the Lord calling him to move to Cambodia as a full time missionary. During the year and a half in which Dante lived in Poi Pet, he enjoyed making friends with locals, coaching boys’ soccer, teaching, and most of all sharing the love of Christ through ministry and service. Since the moment he came back to the states, Dante has been looking forward to his return to the place he loves. Returning a married man he is thrilled to be serving alongside his wife as they start their new life together.
